HISTORY
Hope for the Nations (HFTN) is a non-profit organization based in Kelowna, B.C., Canada that was founded in 1994. Over the course of the years, HFTN has broadened its scope and sharpened its focus. HFTN is now engaged in community development, poverty reduction and gender equity issues in areas that affect children. Through a system of coalition and partnerships, we have established projects in eighteen nations worldwide. HFTN is continuing to develop its relationships and international networks in order to increase the efficiency of efforts directed towards helping Children at Risk around the world. HFTN is a registered charity in Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom. Hope for the Nations obtained ‘Special Consultative Status’ in 2002 with the Economic Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations. |
