Volunteering is a significant way to be part of the ongoing work of Hope for the Nations. As a volunteer, you have the opportunity to make a contribution in others' lives.
Volunteerism is central to the values of HFTN
HFTN Volunteer Processing Steps
(Registered volunteers)
1) Potential volunteer picks up the volunteer application form from the HFTN office or access the form from the HFTN website.
2) Potential volunteer returns the volunteer application form to the HFTN office
3) HFTN volunteer coordinator completes the reference checks
4) HFTN volunteer coordinator conducts an interview with the potential volunteer
5) HFTN volunteer coordinator contacts HFTN staff and/or Area Director about possible volunteer positions
6) Potential Volunteer is offered a position
7) Volunteer if accepts the position is provided with an orientation to the organization by the volunteer coordinator

• volunteer manual
• position agreement & confidentiality agreement
8) Volunteer receives training from individual supervising the volunteer
• local position, Hope for the Nations staff
• international position, Area Director and/or Board Member
9) Volunteer review completed at the 3 and 9 month period, annually after that point by the volunteer coordinator
10) Exit interview is performed by volunteer coordinator
Depending on the position risk assessment the potential volunteer may be required to have a Criminal Record Search done
One time volunteer opportunities of low risk activities, supervised by Hope for the Nations Staff and/or Directors does not require the volunteer to go through the registration process
International volunteer positions may require further documentation depending on the volunteer position.
