In Colima we have been in partnership with Groupo Amor de Mexico for several years. They have a well established group of homes attending to a fairly broad spectrum of needs in the community. 

The Hogar de Amor project is a cluster of children's homes that care for up to 120 children. The ages of the children span from 8 months to 18 years old depending on the home they are in. There is a process for volunteering which is one way that you can help. You can volunteer for short term trips, three month stays, or even up to a year. There are many things that can be done by a willing and able volunteer.

Casa Cuna Babies Home

Casa Cuna is focused on children in the first 5 years of life. This home has a capacity for up to 25 or more young children.

Casa Matriz Children's Home

This home is designed to take in children from 6 to 12 years of age. Casa Matriz can care for well over 40 children. 

Teen Girls Home

Once entering the teen years, Hogar de Amor separates the children by gender. The girls home cares for girls ages 12 and older, and can focus on the specific needs of teenage girls. 

Teen Boys Home

The boy's home cares for boys ages 12 and older, and allows the house parents to deal exclusively with the needs of teenage boys.
