Confronting an Orphan Crisis

AIDS, war, poverty, and famine have created a worldwide tragedy. Over 10 million orphans under the age of 15 are now struggling for survival with both parents dead. Approximately 110 million children have lost a mother, a father, or live parentless. More than 15 million children are AIDS Orphans, the fastest growing orphan population.

With the orphan population growing in epidemic proportions, there is an enormous need for orphan care around the world.

One way HFTN confronts this issue is through establishing and supporting Family Homes.

Home Sponsorship

Our homes are run by widows and loving parents who may or may not have children of their own. We call these caretakers “house parents” as they invest into the children’s lives as you would invest into your own children’s lives. Our house parents are nationals who have personally felt the same tragedies these kids have faced which enables them to be compassionate and loving in a unique way.

Each Hope home has the capacity to house 15-20 children. The homes provide these children with care that will nurture them and provide a holistic care which will help these infants, children, and adolescents to become leaders within their society. Please help us to reach these children that so desperately need our help.

Each Home sponsor will receive information on the home, the children, specific needs of the home, and updates / newsletters on new developments.
