We brought SHINE to the Hope Transformation Centre in Poipet, Cambodia.
SHINE was designed to empower girls and women to go on a journey to discover their worth and value, to be equipped with decision making skills and to realize that they have the power to change their world.
We had an incredible time bonding and learning through a series of activities, illustrations and sharings.
- We drew self-potraits as an expression of self because we are one-of-a-kind and there's nobody like us.
- We did a basic skincare routine as part of valuing ourselves is looking after our skin.
- We did jewellery making proving that our choices determine what our product looks like.
- We learnt about confidence through standing tall and walking tall and we each made our dream collage, giving life to our hopes and dreams.
- At the end of the programme, we did a makeover for each woman!
How beautifully created we are! We laughed, we cried, we embraced, we shared. It was an incredible experience and each woman and girl left richer in spirit!
