ADVOCATE for “Children at Risk”
INFLUENCE art contemporaries to “CHAMPION” a HFTN cause
RAISE FUNDS for a specific HFTN project that the ART IS {HOPE} Artist is championing
SHOWCASE art that captures the untold stories of vulnerable children through a creative lens

To create a movement of ARTists that IS raising awareness and resources for orphans and vulnerable children through {HOPE} for the Nations.

Through their artistic medium, the Artist will:

• Express the cadence of a desperate life through music and movement
• Portray a “life at risk” through the beauty of paint applied to canvas
• Inspire {HOPE} through the powerful mediums of prose and poetry
• Capture the many faces of global injustice

{ARTIST BIO} Sarah Lewke
"My name is Sarah Lewke and I am a local artist living in the Okanagan. I am passionate about making art and recently graduated from UBCO fine arts program. I draw my inspiration for my art from my experiences with friends, my love of nature and my Christian spirituality. I am interested in layering these influences and images to create new and unique visual experiences."
{The Story Behind the Canvas}
" I am very moved by the work that being done to rescue child soldiers out of slavery to war. This piece is inspired by the idea of child soldiers escaping destructive and dangerous areas of war and violence and finding the way to safety, hope and light. I used the image of a forest fire to symbolize war and terror, and images of flying birds to symbolize children escaping dangerous military environments. My aim with this piece was to focus on the hope of salvation, while still emphasizing the dangerous reality that these children escape."

HEY to all who joined us this past weekend at LILLE GARD Fest!!! An incredible weekend was had, some even have called it "Magical". We had over 18 bands and dozens of incredible artists and music lovers join us. From near and not so near friends came...a tribe was rallied
A few highlighted comments are:
"For me it was an awesome weekend. It was good to be in the middle of all that love. I felt so welcomed, and saw some old friends and made a few new ones. The weekend was truly everything I hoped it would be and more. Thank you so much. My heart is warmed." Dave Anthony
"a unique artist powered, grass roots, intimate festival. A brilliant addition to the live music scene in Kelowna. Our family had a lovely afternoon enjoying local music while having a picnic in the forest." Ryan Donn
"Individuals and families gathered, the food came out, the lyrics spread the message and community was created. Grandpa's blew bubbles for their grandchildren, past friends reconnected and new friends made their introductions.
