Agape Gospel Mission - Shiashi Fire

Agape Gospel Mission responds to the fire in Shiashi
On August 15th, fire raged through the fragile wooden structures that comprised the neighborhood of Shiashi in the capital city of Accra, Ghana. In the blink of an eye, five hundred people lost everything they owned.
Agape Gospel Mission, through Agape House New Testament Church, immediately began taking food and clothing to those who were left with nothing. We went out daily with hot meals and encouragement, clothing and comfort, prayer and the Word of God. Most of the displaced still slept among the rubble because they had nowhere else to go. Phase One of our outreach, consisting of emergency relief efforts, continued for more than a month.
Now we are in Phase Two, as we assist as many as 267 family units to relocate. We are in need of mattresses, buckets for carrying water, cooking utensils, and other basic household items. The need is ongoing.
