On Tuesday, February 21st, a third earthquake hit Turkey and Syria following the 7.8 and 7.5 magnitude earthquakes that occurred two weeks ago. Since the third earthquake, over 47,000 people have been found dead and thousands have been left injured and displaced from their homes.
Family and friends of those affected by the earthquakes are desperately searching for any news on their loved ones. The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees is reporting that over 100,000 people have fled their homes in fear of more aftershocks and earthquakes.
Our agent, Hope for the Nations in Romania, is ready to help. We have semi trucks on the ground that are being loaded up with safe drinking water, food, and emergency medical supplies to be delivered into the hardest hit areas. We are raising funds to cover the cost of the fuel to transport the supplies. The approximate cost to fuel up a vehicle is $2500.00 CAD.
Thank you for contributing to this joint effort.
