Our Leadership

Hope for the Nations leaders strive to demonstrate the belief, hope and courage required to make change – the same courage required for at-risk children to start over with a second chance at a better life.

Board of Directors


Ralph Bromley is president and co-founder of Hope For The Nations. His passion for the issues facing children at risk has taken him to many nations of the world. He uses the tools of coalition and entrepreneurship to help shape a world fit for the child. Ralph and his wife Donna have three children and seven grandchildren.


Alphil Guilaran is the Executive Director and co-founder of the Financial Literacy Council, which serves over 700 private, institutional and corporate clients. He received his BA from the University of British Columbia in Political Science and Economics. Alphil and his team of legal, accounting, and financial management specialists are passionate about building financially literate generations.


Stephanie Hunter is an individual with a heart for children at risk. She has traveled widely as a photographer and country director for Hope for the Nations. Her travels have taken her to the Himalayas, Afghanistan and Kenya, and the streets of the massive cities of the world. Stephanie’s photography has been featured on websites, at global conferences, and in her book On the Fragile Feet of Children.


Brennan McAllister is the current owner of a tool store called Midland Liquidators. Brennan has a heart for children at risk and believes in doing what we can to serve. He has traveled to Liberia and volunteered with Young Life for years. He has served as a leader with young adults at Northview Church and led a community group. Brennan and his wife Sara have two young children Aubrey and Wyatt.


Terry Courtney comes to us as a local, well respected realtor in Kelowna since 1980. He also served on the elder's board of Willow Park Church for 7 years. Terry and his wife, Janet, have organized, overseen and lead teams in both Manzanillo and Colima, Mexico under the direction of Hope for the Nations for the past 12 years. Terry and Janet have also volunteered several times at the Haggai Institute in Maui and will be training for supervisor positions there. Terry also volunteers locally with meals on wheels as well with the local schools participating in the one to one reading program helping elementary students. Janet volunteers with the Hope project food for thought here in Kelowna. Terry is eager to join the board to be a part of discerning, overseeing and evaluating both existing and potential projects for Hope for the Nations. Terry hopes to be able to travel to many of our projects to continue building into our relationships with our agents all around the globe.
