“The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. At its heart are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action by all countries - developed and developing - in a global partnership.”

HOPE’s mission aligns with the sustainable development goals as we work together toward a global solution. Here are just a few examples of how HOPE projects are working within the global community:

Nepal

'Reduce inequality within and among countries'

We're working on this goal with HOPE agent 'The Small World' in Nepal to provide housing for young girls who are coming from remote villages to attend school so they have a chance at a better life through education and the opportunities it presents.

Kenya

'Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all'

We're working on this goal with HOPE agent 'Hope & Bright Future School' in Kenya to help build a sustainable pull cart business so young men can provide for their families.

Tanzania

'Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.'

HOPE is working toward this goal with the Living Waters Secondary School in Mwanza, Tanzania, providing education programs and schooling to the children and families in the community.

Romania

'Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.'

HOPE agent ‘Hope for the Nations Romania’ is working on this goal by providing much needed medical workshops.

Indonesia

‘Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all’

Working with schools in Canada, HOPE was part of a facilitation program to provide healthy drinking water to 10 homes of villagers who suffer with leprosy in Indonesia.
